7 States You Should Avoid Been Posted To At All Cost

The registration for 2020 National Youth Service Corps will commence today, many prospective corp members are clueless of which states to choose during the registration process. There are some states you must avoid been posted at all costs.

1. Cross River State

Cross River is a state in the South-South region of the country. Based on my research, Cross River is not a state you will like to stay for a year. Apart from Calabar the capital city, most of the towns rarely have a power supply. Foodstuff in Cross River is more expensive than Lagos. Finally, the state government doesn't pay corp members allowance as other states do.

2. Kogi State

Kogi State is in the North Central region of the country. Kogi State has a low per capita income. The level of poverty is high and there is mass unemployment. As a corper, there is little or no opportunity for you in Kogi State. Spending a year at Kogi State might be a waste of time for you.

3. Ekiti State

Just like Kogi, Ekiti also has a low per capita income. There is no opportunity for you in Ekiti State, the only thing you will enjoy in Ekiti is their pounded yam.

4. Borno State

Although the state government is trying to woo corp members with huge allowance, the major challenge in Borno State is what we all know, the Boko Haram insurgency. You might not enjoy your stay in the state because you will be restricted to some places.

5. Ebonyi State

Ebonyi is a state in the South East region of the country. Ebonyi also has a low per capita income with a high poverty rate, there is little or opportunity for you at Ebonyi state. Anyway, you will enjoy their stone rice.

6. Abia State

Abia State is also the worst place to be for 12 months, you can be posted to a village with no tap water, no light, and bad network. If you love yourself avoid Abia State.

7. Yobe state

Just like Borno, the major challenge in Your state is insecurity. You wouldn't be able to flex around the state because of the Boko Haram insurgency.

Based on my research, these are the seven states you must avoid at all costs if you want to enjoy your service.
